What we collect

Filed: Filed operates locally on your Windows device. It does not collect or transmit file names, paths, file contents, or usage data, and it includes no telemetry or advertising SDK. File operations are performed through Windows on your device.

Games (online play): When you play a Galactrex Studios game online, we use Epic Online Services to power lobbies and voice chat. EOS issues an anonymous Product User ID tied to your device and uses your IP to route the connection. Voice is transmitted live and never recorded or stored. Lobby codes are temporary and discarded when the game session ends. These games do not require a Galactrex customer account.

Galactrex customer accounts: For subscription tools, we store your email address, verification and session records, and any display name or profile image you choose to add. Login and session tokens are stored as hashes. We also keep the Paddle customer, subscription, transaction, and adjustment identifiers and statuses needed to show your plan and decide tool access. We do not store payment-card details.

BeforePixel website edition: Canvas documents and recovery data stay in your browser. PNG imports and exports are handled there. Galactrex does not store these canvas documents in a cloud service for this launch.

Submissions: When you send us a game pitch, music demo, or any other creative work for review, we collect the information you provide: your name or alias, contact email, links to your portfolio or socials, and the material you submit. We use this information solely to review your submission and contact you if we want to talk further. Submissions are retained while under review. If we pass, we keep your contact details for up to 12 months in case future opportunities fit, unless you ask us to delete them sooner. If we move forward, retention is governed by the agreement we sign with you.

Coding apps

Brief sends the idea and answers you enter to our Cloudflare-hosted API to ask its questions and write the documents. Unslop sends your project brief and any stylesheet sample you choose to inspect. UI Components sends your API key or signed-in session with each paid component request so the API can confirm your plan; it receives no project content. Leak Check and Launch Check send the live-site URL you enter to that API. If you choose Project Folder in Leak Check and confirm the upload, eligible text files from that folder, including any secrets they contain, are sent to the API for the scan. The API processes these inputs to return results and does not save their contents in the Galactrex account database. Aftermix measures your song in your browser; the audio and its file name never leave your device. The measurements (numbers such as loudness, peaks and tone), with the genre and destination you choose, are sent to the API to produce the result, and we keep them to improve Aftermix. Kept measurements are not linked to your account, key or network address. Running a check means you agree to this. We record tool usage against your account to enforce plan limits. Leave private values out of briefs and stylesheets, and do not choose a project folder whose contents you cannot send to Galactrex.

We work with the following providers, each governed by their own privacy policies:

Paddle (subscription checkout, billing, tax, and customer portal)
Microsoft Store (purchase, download, and entitlement)
Epic Online Services (multiplayer transport)
Steam and Epic Games Store (storefront and entitlement verification)
MET Norway (weather forecast when you turn on the Account weather widget)
Cloudflare (hosting and processing requests from coding apps)

Personal Account room

If you customize your Account room, we store your widget layout, favorite links, private note, companion choice or uploaded image, sound mix levels, clock time-zone choice, and any weather city you select with your Galactrex account so they follow you across browsers. GPS is optional and asks browser permission only when you choose it. We round GPS or city coordinates to two decimal places before storing them and requesting a forecast from MET Norway through our server. City lookup uses a bundled GeoNames index; your search text is not sent to an outside geocoding service. Opening a favorite link may tell the destination only that you came from galactrex.com, never your private Account URL. You can remove a saved weather location in My room and an uploaded companion in Profile. Rain, wind, and thunder are generated in your browser only after you press Play. We do not record audio.

Your rights

For a customer-account data request, email [email protected] and include the address on your account. You can ask for access, correction, or deletion. We may ask you to verify ownership before making a change and may retain billing records when required by law.

Cookies and storage

Cookies and browser storage keep you signed in and remember your settings.

With your permission, we collect basic usage and error data to improve our products. Analytics don't include your artwork, email or prompts.

Your choice is saved for 180 days. You can change it anytime.
