We made Moniswitch for our own desks, then open-sourced it under MIT. It routes physical monitors between computers. Switch each display, recall a whole layout, then add keyboard, mouse, clipboard, or a Linux desktop only when the desk needs them.

Moniswitch moves a physical monitor input. It does not invent the video signal or bypass the cable carrying it.
- The display must expose input switching over DDC/CI.
- Each computer still needs a real video connection to that display.
- Some docks, adapters, capture devices, and hardware KVMs block DDC traffic.
The desk stays yours.
No telemetry. No analytics. No account, updater, or cloud service. Moniswitch stores its settings locally and masks connection details in private view by default.
