Open the folder. Get on with it.

A local Windows file manager built for the part where you actually work: opening heavy folders, finding what is there, and coming back to the same desk tomorrow.

What it does

Four small verbs.
One less layer.

Filed keeps the job close to the folder. No separate search ritual. No new workspace for every view.

  1. 01

    Open.

Entries stream in. Large folders can start moving before the last row has finished drawing.

  2. 02

    See.

Move between detailed rows and a visual grid without leaving the folder you are in.

  3. 03

    Find.

Type once. Filed narrows the folder already in front of you, locally.

  4. 04

    Return.

Restore tabs and workspaces. Come back to the same desk and continue.

What is true now

Windows underneath.
Filed on top.

The interface is new. The operations are native. The privacy model is deliberately boring.

01 / Local by design

Your files stay on your machine.

Filed does not collect or transmit file names, paths, file contents, or usage data. It includes no telemetry or advertising SDK.

02 / Built for weight

Large folders keep moving.

Entries stream in and rows stay virtualized, so opening and filtering a large folder does not require rendering every item at once.

03 / Windows, properly

The Shell does the real work.

Copy, paste, rename, recycle, share, properties, and context menus use native Windows Shell operations.

Consumer / Next

Another consumer app is in development. It gets a name here when there is something real to show.
