Afterimage vs Specterr

Both make lyric videos, and in both you set the timing of each line yourself. Specterr uploads your song and renders on its servers, up to 4K at 60 fps on its top plan. Afterimage renders in your browser, so the song never leaves your computer.

Where the song goes

On Specterr you upload an MP3 or WAV file. Its servers render the video and keep your files.Afterimage analyses the song and renders the video in your browser. The song is never uploaded. That suits a song that is not out yet.

Free plans

Specterr free: 1 video a day, 720p at 30 fps, up to 5 minutes, with a watermark. Free videos expire after 10 days.Afterimage free: 5 minutes of rendered video per account, in total, at 720p with no watermark. It does not refill. Essential gives full songs at 1080p.

Timing the lyrics

Specterr has you type or paste the lyrics, then set time stamps in its lyric editor.Afterimage does not listen for the words either. You paste the lyrics, play the song and press Space as each line starts. Words in a line are spread across it, then you fix any line. Import an LRC or SRT file and its times are used.
